Jan., Feb. revenue of US$1.1B beats target by 21.6 %: Agency
Santo Domingo. – The Internal Taxes Agency (DGII) on Thursday said January and February revenues topped RD$46.7 billion (US$1.1 billion), or 108.3% of than estimated, and 21.6 % more than the same year ago period.
It said February revenue was RD$22.7 billion, or RD$3.6 billion more than the month estimated goal, for a 32.3% jump over the same 2012 period.
The DGII said February’s revenue performance came even when the funds from the government’s agreement with banks are subtracted, which advanced RD$2.5 billion in financial assets in the second half.
It adds that the inter-annual growth stood at 17.8%, exceeding the RD $1.1 billion target.
