Housing construction costs jump 0.19% in March
Santo Domingo. – The National Statistics Office (NSO) and the Dominican Housing Builders and Developers Association (Acoprovi) on Wednesday said housing costs jumped in 0.19% March, or 0.44 percentage points higher than the -0.25% of the same period last year
It said higher costs on PVC pipes and parts accounted for the sharpest rise (10.49%), aluminum and glass finish subcontractors (4.83%) and electrical wires (2.12%).
The cost index is updated by polls on prices of 111 items classified into 5 groups: labor, machinery, tools, materials and subcontracts, in a sampling of representative construction related businesses.
