Government agencies announce Easy Export parcel service
Santo Domingo.- Dominican Republic’s Export and Investment Center (CEI-RD) and the Postal Service (Inposdom) on Tuesday agreed to create and promotion of the courier mechanism “Exporta Facil” (Easy Export).
The directors of CEI-RD Jean Alain Rodriguez, and Modesto Guzman, of Inposdom, called the mechanism important for micro, small and medium exporters.
Rodriguez said Easy Export aims to make it easy to ship and transport goods from Dominican Republic, which Inposdom coordinates, designed to provide service, support and technical assistance mostly to micro, small and medium businesses and the handicraft sectors, to market their products abroad.
Guzman stressed the project’s services targeted exclusively to the SMEs and artisans, and will take effect through a special postal circuit. “The goal is to join efforts in order to increase business competitiveness while boosting, contributing and facilitating the participation and integration of the goods manufactured or processed by the SME sector.
