Golf at the Puntacana Resort & Club among the Best
The “Corales” and “La Cana” Golf Courses were included on the list of the 20 best golf courses in the world.
The list was put together by the American Airlines magazine “Celebrated Living.” The list also included the Puntacana Resort & Club on the list of the top 20 Caribbean resorts.
“The Corales” and “La Cana” occupy the 14th and 15th positions, respectively, and are the only Caribbean hotels included.
Both golf courses are included in the package offered by the Puntacana Resort & Club, situated in Punta Cana, on the country’s easternmost region.
The area is considered to be a golfer’s paradise because of the quality and facilities provided by both courses.
The 18-hole “Corales” golf course, designed by Tom Fazio, is situated overlooking the majestic Caribbean Sea and surrounded by rocky cliffs and coral reefs.
The “La Cana” Golf Club, designed by renowned architect PB Dye, features 27 holes overlooking the Caribbean Sea. It is a favorite among golfers in the Punta Cana area.
Puntacana Resort & Club is situated 10 minutes from Punta Cana’s international airport, 45 minutes east from La Romana’s international airport and 1:45 hours east from Las Americas international airport serving Santo Domingo, the Dominican capital.
Certificates of Excellence 2013, presented by TripAdvisor – the largest travel sites – were awarded to the “La Yola” restaurant, “La Cana” golf course, from the Puntacana Resort & Club, and the luxury boutique hotel “Tortuga Bay.”
