Funglode Environmental Film Festival opens tomorrow
Funglode is once again holding its Environmental Film Festival, a chance to see great films that inspire, educate and make people aware of important environmental issues and problems. It starts tomorrow Wednesday, 4 September to Sunday, 8 September in 15 theaters in Santo Domino, Santiago, Puerto Plata, San Francisco de Macoris, San Juan de la Maguana, Bani and Punta Cana.
Special guests of the film festival this year include Jon Bowermaster, Lucky Walker, Mourad Ahmia, Yann Arthus-Bertrand, Katie Pofhal, Nils Aguilar and Stuart Sender.
The films that will be shown include:
Terra, Mother: Caring for 7 Billion, Harmony, Tsunami and the Cherry Blossom, Trashed, Money and Life n A Story about Money That Will Change your Life, Pad Yatra: A Green Odyssey, Planete Ocean, Sacred Science, Sharkwater, Uranium Drive-In, What Would Darwin Think? Man vs. Nature in the Galapagos, A Thirsty World, Minds in the Water, Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax, The Windmill Farmer, A Sea Turtle Story, Hanging Around, and Papiroflexia.
The films from the Dominican Republic include Death by a Thousand Cuts and documentaries about the Central Mountain Range, Jaragua, Bahoruco, Enriquillo Biosphere Reserve, and Valle Nuevo: Mother of the Waters.
