For alleged corruption three officials from Cabarete District Board arrested
PUERTO PLATA. – The Office of Puerto Plata captured three out of seven people connected to corruption, while the current manager of the District Board of Cabarete has expressed his intention to surrender to justice. The group is accused of forging checks, and of a number of irregularities. By warrant from a judge yesterday afternoon was arrested Ramon Mora Ramirez, brother of Gabriel Mora.
Among the wanted officials are Gabriel Mora ( Canoa ), district manager of the municipality of Cabarete.
Others arrested are: Juan Luis Vasquez and Julio Benjamin Polanco, alleged intermediaries.
The head of Puerto Plata tax department, Alba Nunez, said that Gabriel Mora had been contacted to surrender, but so far has not done so.
On several occasions the Association for the development had filed a complaint against Canoa for the misuse of economic resources.
