First Milk Festival 2013 to be held in Puerto Plata
PUERTO PLATA. – This coming Sunday June 2 at 9:00 am, there will be held at the Independence Square in this city, the First Milk Festival 2013, road to VII The Livestock Show Cupey.
This announcement was made by the engineer Ramon Taveras on behalf of the Cattlemen’s Association Central Puerto Plata (AGPPC) who explained that this event is aimed at promoting the benefits and consumption of locally produced milk. Taveras said the festival will be offered at modest prices a variety of high quality dairy products that are produced in this province and nationally, trying to encourage consumption and to ensure the strengthening of livestock and dairy industry growth nationally. In addition, participants in this milk fair Puerto Plata 2013, will enjoy the live cow milking as artistic presentations that have been provided with the support of the National Council for the Regulation and Development of the Dairy Industry (CONALECHE).
