Dominican woman busted at NY airport for smuggling drugs in a wheelchair
New York.– A Dominican woman in a suspicious wheelchair was pulled over in Kennedy Airport by Customs inspectors who blocked her attempt to smuggle heroin and cocaine in the United States.
According to latino.foxnews.com, Fior Daliza Garcia, 58, came off JetBlue flight 838 from the Dominican Republic at New York’s John F. Kennedy airport and immediately drew the attention of Customs Inspectors.
The woman wheeled up to customs appearing ill at ease in her “newly painted” wheelchair. Her two suitcases appeared to be clean, so the inspectors focused on the wheelchair.
They CBP officers found a quantity of heroin and cocaine stashed in the “body” of the heavy wheelchair. Garcia confessed that she was going to be paid US$12,000 for smuggling the drugs.
