Dominican Republic takes part in India-Latin America business conclave
Delhi, India.- A delegation of Dominican Republic’s public and private sectors will attend the next Latin American and Caribbean Business & Investment Conclave starting today Monday.
The 5th annual Conclave to take place December 9 and 10 and will gather representatives from both regions who’ll explore ways to spur trade and investments among India and Latin American and Caribbean countries.
India’s Confederation of industries and the Ministry of Industry organize the event, with delegations from Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Central America and the Dominican Republic are expected to attend. Their hosts will be representatives from India’s leading companies, whose interest centers on developing and investing in the Latin American market.
The Dominican government delegation which will attend the event is headed by Development Policy Advisor Antonio Isa Conde, and Dominican ambassador in India, Hans Dannenberg.
The private sector will be represented by Fernando Gonzalez Nicolas, president of the Roundtable of Commonwealth Countries in the Dominican Republic, and Milton Morrison, executive vice president of the Dominican Association of Power Companies (ADIE).
India Industry and Commerce minister Anand Sharma will head the opening ceremony of the Conclave, which provides an opportunity to find new export markets, competitive sources of raw materials, technologies, equipment and investment.
