Dominican Hotels Included in the “2013 Gold List” by Conde Nast Traveler Magazine
The Peninsula House Boutique Hotel, located in Samana, on the country’s northeast corner, was once again included on the list of the best hotels and resorts in the world. In the country’s easternmost region, the exclusive Tortuga Bay Hotel and Casa de Campo Resort – in Bavaro and La Romana, respectively – were also included in the Conde Nast Traveler 2013 magazine.
The six-room Peninsula House Hotel was also included in the 2012 edition of the magazine in its list of the best hotels in the world. At the time the hotel received a score of 97.8 on the “2013 Gold List.” The facility also received 100% satisfaction regarding service and overall facilities. In food and location, the hotel received a 97.3% rating, and 94.6% in design.
The Peninsula House also heads the list of the 15 best hotels in the Caribbean.
The Tortuga Bay Hotel was also chosen by the readers of the Conde Nast Traveler magazine, situated in the Puntacana Resort & Club, in Punta Cana, as well as Casa de Campo, in the eastern city of La Romana, were included in the list of the best resorts in the Caribbean during 2013.
The Peninsula House
The magazine describes this hotel as “just perfect from top to bottom.” It also says that the rooms are absolutely “beautiful,” featuring wooden floors, antique Brazilian and Chinese bamboo trunks and cabinets made of Indian mahogany.
The Tortuga Bay is a luxury boutique hotel featuring 13 luxurious beachfront villas designed by famed Dominican/American Oscar de la Renta. The facility is a member of Leading Hotels of the World and the only hotel in the Dominican Republic to receive a five-diamond rating by the American Automobile Association (AAA) guide.
Casa de Campo
Casa de Campo is recognized worldwide for its world-class golf courses, designed by the legendary Pete Dye. The resort was also included in the list of Preferred Hotels & Resorts.
