New York.- The 32nd Annual Dominican Day Parade on Sunday featured blaring music to which several mayoral candidates tried some merengue steps as it moved 15 blocks down 6th Av., (Avenue of the Americas), from 37th to 52nd St..
Embattled New York mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner stole the show in the Parade, running and dancing along one of the avenues, to the cheer of thousands.
Donning bright red pants, megaphone in one hand and waving a huge Dominican flag in the other, Wiener shouted “! Long live the Dominican Republic,”
Democratic mayoral candidates Bill Thompson, Bill de Blasio, John Liu and Christine Quinn, and mayor Michael Bloomberg also took part in the annual parade.
