Dominican ambassador returns to Haiti
Santo Domingo.– After being recalled for consultation, and remaining for more than 20 days in the country, the Dominican ambassador in Haiti Rubén Silié resumed his functions, after returning to the neighboring nation.
His return occurred several days ago, acting Foreign Affairs minister Jose Manuel Trullolls confirmed Thursday, and said that the Dominican Republic maintains an open channel of communication with Haiti’s Foreign Ministry.
“There is very good communication with ambassador Fritz Cinéas; there isn’t any problem in this regard,” Trullolls said.
Last November the Dominican Government recalled its ambassador in Haiti, and accused Port-au-Prince of violating the Joint Declaration both nations signed to focus on a dialogue, which was initiated in Caracas, Venezuela.
