Court ruling favors Germans in La Mulata III case
A court judgment by judges Aloides de Jesus Matias Cueto, Rosa Francia Liriano and Irina Ventura issued yesterday, Thursday, 24 October, ordered Germans Peter Brunck, Daniel Brunck, Solvey Isabela Ditrich Bosen be absolved of charges by the Dominican judiciary. They had been accused of rebellion, attempted homicide and violation of the Law 36 on carrying weapons. The court said that the rights of the Germans were violated with irregular domiciliary violations that caused the evidence to be rejected. The case led to a scandal when it was revealed that police agents turned into thieves and plundered the site. An arsenal of illegally possessed weapons was confiscated from the residence.
