Court frees TV presenter
Santo Domingo.- A National District court rejected a bid for coercion measures and freed television presenter Angie Agramonte.
The court found that the evidence presented showed no direct links between the presenter and the money-laundering network, made up of Venezuelans, Colombians and Dominicans.
Upon leaving the courtroom on Monday morning Agramonte thanked God and said: “I am happy and grateful to God, this is a lesson for life.”
Judge Patricia Padilla said that there were insufficient grounds for imprisoning Agramonte.
