Clúster y Fomín installing new road signs for tourist routes in Puerto Plata region
PUERTO PLATA – Aiming to potentially attract tourists in the province of Puerto Plata , MIF -IDB is running the project which started the installation process of signals in the main land.
The initiative involves the placement of referential road signs to motivate and direct tourists to various attractions of the Puerto Plata area. The signals have been set to provide easy direction to e.g. Isabela Historical Park and Manatee Estero Hondo , Sabinillas: route of Columbus, Ecoroute Altamira , Cacao and 100 % Merengue ( Guananico ) and Imbert: Crafts and Nature, which form part of the seventeen tourist proposals working through the Cluster y Fomin.
The project coordinator Karina Abbott , said that these actions is to improve the access to such tourist spots from the road.
