“Christmas without potholes” paving program
Santo Domingo.- Public Works minister Gonzalo Castillo on Monday announced the start of the “Christmas without potholes” paving program, in a meeting with Greater Santo Domingo mayors, where also revealed next year’s plans.
He said Public Works aims to carry out the “emergency plan,” which starts this week, so that citizens can enjoy a Christmas without potholes.
“We’ll be supplying asphalt to the municipalities to activate the program starting tomorrow (Tuesday),” the official said, noting that the plan doesn’t have a specific budget because it depends on how much asphalt is used.
He said the entire country will be included in the plan to repave and patch streets and avenues starting February.
