Caves at “Super Pola” construction site will get filled up
After consulting with several participants of the construction of the ‘Super Pola’ warehouse project it was decided to fill the three caves under the construction site with sand. Then the holes will be sealed with a building board, according to the contractor this provides sufficient strength to support a large department store. However, the planned garage under the building will not be built. The most suitable solution for such a problem is to get enough studs into the ground under an angle. This has been done in Santo Domingo at the construction of the double layer transit road. But that is a very expensive solution, apparently too expensive so they opted for a cheaper solution. Anyway, the work has started again. According to the contractor, the project will therefore be a little delayed.
