Casa de Campo distinguished as Leading Golf Resort in the World for seventh consecutive year
The resort was selected by the World Travel Awards, considered the ‘Oscars’ of the travel industry and global tourism.
The award was presented at the La Cigale Hotel in Doha, Qatar, during the 20th anniversary of the World Travel Awards.
In addition, Casa de Campo received the award for “Leading Golf Resort in the Caribbean,” and “Leading Resort in the Dominican Republic.”
The World Travel Awards have become an important indicator that encourages and supports the highest standards in customer service and overall business performance.
During 2013 Links Magazine, Golf Magazine, Travel Weekly and Cigar Aficionado Magazine recognized Casa de Campo as one of the best golf resorts in the world.
Most recently, the resort was chosen by the PGA as one of the “25 Great Golf Courses in the World.”
Casa de Campo features 90 holes and its Teeth of the Dog golf course is ranked as Latin America’s number one golf course and 47th in the world, according to Golf Magazine.
Golf Hall of Famer Pete Dye designed the golf course in 1971, as was the country’s first championship course.
The famed resort also features the La Romana Country Club, the DyeFore and The Links golf courses.
Casa de Campo is now the only resort in the Dominican Republic that is a member of the luxury hotel brand Preferred Hotels & Resorts.
This brand represents a unique collection of over 250 facilities from all over the world that meets the company’s quality standards in customer service and overall infrastructure.
