Airports contractor to build US$350.0M in works in several terminals at Las Americas
Santo Domingo.- The company that manages Dominican Republic’s State-owned airports (Aerodom) on Wednesday announced the construction of a hotel, a convention center, a new cargo terminal at Las Americas Airport and other infrastructure at several facilities, at a cost of US$350.0 million.
The new works form part of proposed new investments for the contracted airports, aimed at improving their infrastructure and contribute to develop the country’s tourism.
Aerodom’s investments would be formalized in an amended contract submitted to president Danilo Medina, and include a new control tower at Puerto Plata International Airport of and the constructions of barracks in some terminals for Airport Security agents and Civil Aviation personnel.
