Air Caraibes will soon operate three flights between Paris-Santo Domingo

The French airline Air Caraibes recently announced that beginning June 15 it will add an additional flight between Paris-Santo Domingo, bringing the total of its weekly flights to Santo Domingo to three.

This new flight, scheduled for Tuesdays, will increase by 50% the airline’s overall number of seats to the Dominican Republic.

Air Caraibes currently flies on Sundays and Fridays, between Santo Domingo and Orly Airport, in Paris.

Flights between both countries began in April 2012 and, during its first year; the airline transported some 20,000 passengers.

The latest generation of the Airbus 330-300 aircraft is used to cover the route.

France is currently Europe’s most important tourism market for the Dominican Republic. In 2012, 259,991 French tourists visited the country by air.

During the first two months of this year, some 61,439 French tourists visited the DR.
