Advice for Easter Week vacationers
Santo Domingo.- As part of an education campaign dubbed “On Vacation! National tourists have the right to a first-rate service” consumer protection agency (Pro Consumidor) head Altagracia Paulino is advising Easter Week vacationers to wash canned products before opening them and to avoid exposing bottled water or food in bags to sunlight, due to the short and medium-term health risks.
The consumer rights protection agency also issued a reminder that during this time of year especially consumers should check expiry dates on products and never purchase products with damaged packaging.
The “On Vacation!” campaign includes handing out promotional materials in beach and vacation spots and on the country’s highways.
