USAID sponsors photography contest in Samana

Samaná, DR.– The photography contest “Lente Vivo” is taking place today in Samaná, on a safari in which participants can experience the adventure of showing the beauty of the Samaná peninsula through photography.

The funds will go to the Support of Basic Education Program, run by Fundacion Futuro Posible and the Samaná Tourism Cluster through its social responsibility project “Samana Family”, aimed at raising funds for social, environmental and cultural activities.

The contest, which is held as an initiative of the Samana Tourism Cluster of  through Empowerment in Sustainable Tourism program, is sponsored by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and executed by the Dominican Tourism Competitiveness Consortium (CDCT), with Viva Resorts group as the official sponsor.
