Thousands of tourists romp to Punta Cana Carnaval
Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.- More than 8,000 tourists romped to this year’s fifth annual Punta Cana Carnaval, an event to showcase folklore and culture organized by the Puntacana Group, with the collaboration of the Union Vegana Carnaval.
“The Punta Cana Carnaval seeks to especially promote Dominican culture and folklore around the world and to the thousands of tourists who visit our country’s East region,” said Puntacana Group President and CEO, Frank Rainieri, in his message to open the parade, dedicated to the folklore legend, Dagoberto Tejeda.
Among this year’s sponsors figure the Tourism Ministry, Claro, Brugal, Presidente, Listin Diario, Supermercados Nacional, Tropigas, Grupo Rica, CTN, Caribbean Catering Service, Banco Popular, Seguros Universal, Hielo Alaska, Coca Cola, and Chevron Texaco.
