Luguelin Santos advances to 400-meter semifinals

London.–  Dominican sprinter and world junior champion Lugelin Santos finished first in his heat clocking 45.04 to advance to the 400-meter semifinals in the London Olympic games.

South Africa’s Oscar Pistorius, who finished second (45.44), made history becoming the first double-amputee to compete at the Olympics.

“I know Oscar was the protagonist in the race,” Luguelin told the press.
