Leading Hotels of the World representatives meet in luxury resort “Casa de Campo”
World-famous “Casa de Campo” resort, situated in the Dominican Republic’s eastern region, was home to the “Leading Hotels of the World” 2012 Annual Sales Conference.
Participants included executives from the members of this exclusive club. Experts on the luxury hotel market presented the latest information and trends on this important tourism segment. They also discussed the ever-changing world of the luxury tourism market. The Leading Hotels of the World is the world’s most important and largest luxury hotels association. It represents over 430 luxury hotels, resorts and spas in more than 80 countries.
“Casa de Campo” is one of the newest members of the world renowned organization, and a popular destination for celebrities from around the world.
The region has an international airport, a marina and yacht club, three golf courses designed by Pete Dye, including the famous Teeth of the Dog (ranked among the top 100 in the world). The facility also offers visitors a top-quality equestrian center, a polo club and skeet shooting.
A short distance away is the cultural village of “Altos de Chavon,” featuring museums, restaurants and the famous amphitheater that is the region’s perfect space for concerts. The amphitheater can easily accommodate more than five thousand guests.
