Casamaya: Peaceful Stay In The Quiet Mountains of the Southwest

Casamaya (Montesacro) is a small and quaint resort, situated in the mountains of the southwest province of Barahona. Temperatures up in the mountains average between 12 and 23 degrees Celsius. It is the perfect spot for a cool and relaxing stay in the region.

The complex consists of nine cabins that can comfortably accommodate up to 60 guests. It is the perfect hideaway for those wishing to get away from the hectic rhythm of city life.

The Resort’s Kitchen

Most of the food prepared in the resort’s kitchen is grown by local farmers from the nearby town of Polo, known for its exquisite coffee plantations. The organic vegetables used to prepare the daily meals is an extra plus for the guests.

Rates

Single and double rooms are available, and prices range from US$60 to US$300, breakfast included.

Lunch and dinner are available, by reservation only, and prices average US$12 per person.

Also available is the rental of a villa, fully equipped with all the necessary amenities such as a gymnasium, TV, fireplace, jacuzzi and laundry room.

Day Rates

The hotel also offers special packages for small groups looking for a quiet environment to hold meetings, workshops and other group-related activities.

The day pass rate is US$30 per person, which includes refreshments and lunch. Meeting rooms can accommodate from 20 to 120 guests. All services are included, including audiovisual equipment and sound.
