Santo Domingo to have another five-star hotel
Santo Domingo.– The Marriott hotel brand will build a 200-room five-star hotel in one of Santo Domingo’s most important avenues, near the capital city’s financial center.
The US$200 million facility will feature two theme restaurants, a spa and gym, swimming pool, terraces, meeting rooms and a hair salon. The 15-story structure will be built on Winston Churchill Avenue.
The hotel is being developed by the Real Hotel & Resort Company, owned by Grupo Poma, a business corporation founded in 1919 and based in El Salvador.
The group currently operates 29 hotels in 10 countries in Central and South America, and the Caribbean. Many of these hotels are operated under the Marriott, Royal Hotel, Quality, Courtyard and Intercontinental brands.
